I’m a Brazilian dog trainer with several courses in positive training from the best Brazilian trainers. I have taken courses in dog behavior analysis, canine reactivity, positive training specialization, and practical positive training. I am a certified Animal-Assisted Services Trainer by Somar, the only Brazilian organization that is a full member of AAII (Animal Assisted Intervention International).

As a graduate with a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing, I worked in communication management and technical sales for almost 25 years. Diagnosed with autism and high verbal skills in 2019, I chose to change my career. Now I’m working with dogs, my childhood hyperfocus.

I also love horses, which might explain why I have three giant dogs: Morgana, a Great Dane; Jack, a Kuvasz; and Shrek, a Newfoundland mix who was adopted because of his disabilities.

I have a dream: to help improve the autonomy of Brazilian people with disabilities by training assistance dogs, particularly for autistic and other neurodiverse people, as well as for medical alert and medical response.

I am proud to be the first Atlas certified trainer in Brazil. Each person and each species has their own way of communicating, and communication is the key to building strong relationships. Here I am, now working on communication between people and dogs. I’m no longer a communication manager, but the field of communication has never left me. Training dogs also involves working with communication, and I learn every day how to communicate better with them and their handlers.

I live in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, with my husband, my 12-year-old autistic son, my five dogs, and my five cats in an adorable house with fruit trees, a nice place to rest and appreciate nature.
